Preps at the hotel! Helena bragd about her remarkable and skilled opening of the very expensive champagne bottle. But in her high spirit she missplaced it or should I say "missed" the table and the bottle fell to the floor! We all got a very weat and cheerfull shower and champagne on us!

Champion of Champions 2004

It's the 10 of April 2004 and it was time again for the glory event of Champion of Champions. Once again we went to this spectacular show but this time as support for the beautiful Robert Redford Out of Africa and the Faraoland kennels. It was a hole gang that gathered at the entrance at Grand Hotel in Stockholm for this glamorous event that would last for 5 hours at least. Just before the let us in we spotted Mr. Janusz Opara, Poland, he judged our Club Show in 2003. It was so nice to run into each other again and we had a lot to talk about since last time. With us we also had the whole Pharaohound-gang led by Sofie and Madelene Lönn, kennel Enigma. They had two pharaohs invited to this show; one in Champion of Champions and one in Veteran of Veterans. Sofie also was the handler for Bobban (Robert Redford Out of Africa). Sofie had a busy schedule this night and she did a very professional job showing all the dogs to their best.
Patrick had to do a quick step in handling job when Sofie suddenly had to enter to of her dogs at the same time in the preview...
...and the Sofie took over again when the competition began.
The happy party-gang!!! Thank you all for a lovely time!! On the way home we had a flat tire and how we managed to get a policeman to change it in the middle of the night on the freeway, well, that is a another story!!
Champion of Champions 1999
The third of 1999 at. 19.00 in the Wintergarden at Grand Hotel in Stockholm, Anton was invited to take part in the great event of Champion of Champions along with 34 other beautiful dogs, all breed.
Champion of Champions is a contest were the top show dogs of Sweden are invited. Anton was this year one of them as he had won 8 group wins that year. Anton also won: Top Basenji of 1998 in Sweden so it was a perfect ending to for him to take part in this glamour show. A show named Champion of Champions!
The contest is by lottery compete in pairs. One dog of the two wins over the other and goes on to the next round. And so on until it is only one dog left and that one is then the Champion of Champions!
The space on the stage is limited so its not easy to show off a mover. Three judges are doing the selection and everything is happening in at very fast tempo.
It all was over before it began and we were one experience richer!! The winner of Champion of Champions that year was a good friend of ours!!
