Ch Khani's Three's Company

Beautiful and lovely Chrissy has stayed with the Skiöld-Elf family for a while now and everything is working out great! She adores her new family and loves everyone. She now has the company of three children Lukas, Liv and Lander and also enjoys the company of the nice basenji trimale Kindubeams Divine Destiny "Lex". To fit with them all she changed her name from Chrissy to Lizzy.

Joker and Tigra took their families to Huskvarna open show for som show training. Joker did best this time with BOB and BIG-2 from junior class. Tigra made BOS with HP. (hrissy was suppose to go too but we decided to stay home and cuddle instead!)

Little Chrissy had a long travel to get to Sweden and we admire her so for taking it so well. It must have been strange in any way imaginable to be flying not just once but twice and have different people handling her at the airports! Our hat is off for Chrissy Chrysalis!

Tigra has been trying out to live with Benny and Marita i Kristinehamn for a couple of weeks now. Everything is working out very well and Tigra decided to stay!! She lives in a marvellous surrounding with a very nice garden and house. A dream come true for any basenji! She is so loved and well taken care of, it was a joy to see her running around and play with Joker this evening!

Ingela, Joker and I went for an open all breed show in Karlskoga for some show practice. Benny and Tigra joined us and we had a great day!

The weather was great and we could relax and talk and drink coffee, just having a great time together. Joker made BOB this day and Tigra finished off as BOS, both with prize of honour. Congrats to both!

After the show we were invited to Tigras house for lasagna!!!! Yummy, yummy! :o)

Återigen så var hela kull 7 på plats. Nu i Norrköping. Konkurrensen är jättetuff i år med många fina valpar av hög kvalité. HP tilldelades Pantra och Tigra men Pantra gick den här gången längst och slutade som 2a i tikarnas valpklass, Tigra slutade på en reservplats.

Joker and Pantra went to Askersund for the SKC Internationall show. A lot of basenji pups this day and all very beautiful. Pantra did the best and finished as 5th in puppy class with prize of honour. congratulations to the winners!

This sunday morning me and Tigra met up with Joker and Ingela for an drive-in all breed local show. Once again it was raining but we got through it! Both did well and got prize of honours. tigra went all the way to BIS-4 puppy amongst a lot of beautiful púppies. Thanks to Ingela and Joker for tagging along always in good spirits!

Today Ive got the result of the marker test fom litter no 7. Parents are one carrier and one clear and the result was 50-50.

Ingela and Linda took Tigra, Pantra and Joker and went for a local all breed show in Finspång. The first repport was very "wet"! It rained tremedesly much!!! No one of the pups enoyed it and poor Tigra just curved up and refused to move. This day ended well anyway and beautiful Pantra did the best and finshed off as BOB puppy and then later on BIS 2 puppy. Joker once again BOS with honours! Congratulations to Linda and Pantra for the BIS-placing!

All of litter 7 rounded up at a loka all breed show in Hallstahammar. It was a very nice day and the pupps did great. im so proud of everyone of them. Tigra did best with BOB puppy, BIG and BIS 2. Joker again went BOS puppy with honours of course. Pantra went 2nd in her class with honours and Morgan 2nd best male.

For some reason I still dont understand we were asked to set up a breeders group, so we did and went all the way to BIS 2. That was fun!!

Thanks too all my dear dear puppies and owners for tagging along to lokal shows for training and having fun! I dont know what I would have done without you!

Morgan, Tigra and I went by car to Linköping to pick up Linda, Pantra, Ingela and Joker on last tuesday afternoon. Then we all went south to this years Specialty Show in the south of Sweden at Degeberga Camping. A beautiful camping site and the weather was very nice too.

Day one had no plannes since the puppies had been moved to the next day due to too much enterence. Over 40 puppies was eneterd. So this day we could enjoy eachothers company and beeing with the dogs and having fun. We wached the beautiful girl   CH Kindubeams Beyond Belief of Naboo "Pepzi" (SunTribe's Naboo x Kingwanas Bahiyah). Pepzi take a nice 4th place in the championklass and then later on winning BEST HEAD! Congratulations to Kindubeams!

Thursday was finally here and time for puppy classes. So many so nice and the competition hard!!! First out was I and SunTribe's Silent Storm "Morgan" and SunTribe's Stargait Superior "Joker" handled by Linda this time. Joker and Morgan won the prize of HONOUR but was cut in the secound round. Congratulations to the winners!

Bitches puppy class 6-9 months, even tuffer with a lot of nice girls participating. Time for SunTribe's Sparkling Supernova "Pantra" handled by Linda and Suntribe's Striped Suburbia "Tigra" handled by me. Tigra went furthest of the two and didnt make the last cut she was although given the prize of HONOUR! This was the first time for her in the show ring som I'm very proud of her. She behaived vary well.. Congratulations to the nice brindle girl witch won the class and later on BIS.

For the Special classes the SunTribe kennels won two nice prizes. Morgan won BEST TRICOLOUR and Tigra won BEST TAIL. Well done!

THANK YOU too the girls who made this trip so nice and friendly. Without you it wouldn't have been the same!

This sunny day I left for a show in Köping. We did some training just befor it started and it turned out fairly nice. Morgan did a great job, really working it! We ended up as BOS-puppy just beaten by a lovely red/white girl. Congratulations to all winners and thanks to Sanna who toop morgan to the show on my behalf!

Once again Pantra and company came by train to Linköping and we went together to Sharpman Dog Show. It started out fairly nice but the rain was hanging about. Later on the afternoon for the finals the sun came and it all ended up rather shiny!!! Pantra went all the way to Best In Show puppy!!

Today we had a visit fron lovely miss Iris, halfsister to Sparkles! They played nicely and had a lot of fun!!!!

I met up with Gabor, Morgan and Joker family for ann all breed show in town. Sparkles had couldnt enter due to her leg but she was with us anyway for some socializing.

Joker and Morgan behaived very nicely even though it was very cold and windy. Both gotr the prize of honour and Morgan won the class, Breed and Group!!! He finished off as BIS-6 ! Job well done!

Today we left for Linköping too see Joker and his family. It was a fun day with a lot pf play and show planning.

Joker packed his family up in the car and went for his first open show. It wnt very well and he ended up with price of honour and Best of Breed. In the finals he was among the top 10 beforr being cut. Well done to Joker and Ingela on their first try out!!!

Sparkles needs to be rehomed. She came back to us after living 4 weeks in her new home. Her owner is seriously ill and can no longer care for her. Sparkles is after Ch Azania's Sundancer In Kabalo and under Faraoland Xperience To SunTribe.

Sparkles is a very very nice girl. She has a soft way and listens well.

Today dear Zäta left us. She has been seriously ill from a young age. Her family fought long and hard for her even though they knew she wouldnt get more that a few years old. Thank you to the Karlsson family for your loving spirit and patiance with Zäta. Rest In Peace dear Zäta!

Belt buckle made by mrs Damara Bolté

When I was young and first started out as a basenji owner I got that sickness that I just had to have everything that had something to do with basenjis. I also started to make different items of basenjis, ear piearcings, angels, brosches and so on. This was a long time ago and before e-bay so the only way to sell was the traditional way. Mia Löwbeer took some of my handmade stuff with her to USA and we agreed that for the money she got for it she would buy me american basenji stuff and bring back to Sweden!! One of the things Mia brought back was this wounderful belt buckle made by mrs Damara Bolté. I have a hard time remembering what year this was but I quess it could be in 1996. Maby Mia knows... Well this belt buckle has been missing for several years due to a lot of mooving around and new appartments and so on but the other week I found it in one of the boxes in the attic. Im so so very happy that I found my lovely belt buckle and since that day I use it every time I wear my jeans! Thank you Mia for this lovely gift and memory. I just love it!!! 

Sparkles - soon to be 10 weeks old and we realised that letting her go wasn't an option! She shows far too many qualitys to be sold. She will be kept home with us until we find a suitable family for breeding terms.

Yet another business trip on the schedule this time to the south and on my return home a was kindly offered to sleep over at the Kindubeams kennels. The pups are already 7½ weeks old and the girls are leaving on saturday so we took some photos of them. Thank you Liz for a very nice evening and a nice breakfast the next morning.

SunTribe's Mara Jade Skywalker

Today I visited Vanilla and company in Gothenbourg. We had a nice evening with a lovely dinner and some wine. When it was time to go to bed Vanilla decided that she would sleep in my bed always faithful to her breeder! Thank you Tuija for everything!! Hope too se you soon again!

Today it's the guys turn to leave the nest. Morgan is moving to Eskilstuna with mom Sanna and dad Gabor. His new dad is in the computor business so it suitable that Morgan got his name from the computor game, Silent Storm!

At the evening it was time for Joker to leave for Linköping and the Larsson-Kindland family. Joker was "ordered" some time ago so the family has waited and waited and now finally they could take him home. Joker got his name from the Si-Fi series Stargate but with a spelling twist changed to Stargait.

Tigra left for her home with Pride Opala kennels in Deje, Sweden. She will be mooving in with 2 adult red/white basenjis so I think she will have alot of fun and be well cared for. Tigra will be co/owned by SunTribe and the Pride Opala kennels. Good luck Tigra!

Sessans has served her last day here att the SunTribe kennels. She and our son Victor really found eachother dearly and had a lot of fun together. You will now see some photos taken whae Victor and Princess were sharing some treats, and you know how 3-year olds can be...well the crackers has to be divided evenly... LoL!!

While Princess is occupied searching Victors left hand for more sweets, Victor  is "treating" himself with some sweets from his right hand!!

The breeding contract for Princess has come to an end and she is now leaving the kennels to live a family life. Thank you to Sari and Janne for being such amazing co/owners and cooperative in anyway. Thank you for the nice flower in a pretty princess crown-pott. I will always remeber Princess with joy!

Well its not a favorite occupation to take a bath when you are a basenji. At least Nelson JR looks happy to finally be out of the tub.

Today I had a great day at the Kindubeams kennels. We have the same father in both our litters so comparing the pups is always interesting. Kindubeams had a lot of nice details on their puppies and it will be a joy too follow them through life. Thanks for a nice day and good luck too all the pups!

SunTribe's Silent Storm

Times fly.... already the pups are 7 weeks old and playing around the house. In just one week the first ones will leave for their new homes. They are now fully collar trained and readu to leave the kennel. At the pictire above you can se "Morgan" is really living up to his pedigree name, Silent Storm, having the time of his life here at SunTribe! The other three sibilings are not far behind though.

Naboo is sending his best and telling us of a new found friend. A cat thats been adopted in to the family and the two of them are having a blast!!!! Enjoying eachothers company and having fun!

This lovely picture poped up in my Iphone today! Its Fonzie sending warm greetings from the Canary Islands and as the look of it he is having a wounderful time too! Palmtrees doesn't grow in sweden so this picture to us is very exotic. Sweden has a lot of snow right now and around -10 degrees Celius.

Litter 7

Well 4 weeks has passed and the pups are growing nicely. They have started to eat puppy food now since a few days back. All four have developed nice caracters and all are very well behaived and pees on the papers on the floor. They are up on their feet now and playing more. The tails already have a nice arch and the tip is touching the back.  See new pictures of litter 7 here >> The names have been decided and they will start on the letter - S

Nelson JR

This nice picture came from "Nelson" SunTribe's Empire Strikes Black  taking a hike on the lake Vättern. Vättern seldom freezes but due to the very cold weather here in Sweden during the last month a walkabout on the lake is possible!

Fonzie & Magi

"Fonzie" SunTribe's Return of the Jedi and Magi sends winter greetings from a very cold sweden with minus 20-30 degrees Celcius. Fonzie and his girl is flying to the Canary Islands in just 14 days. Wow I can imagine the warmth and sun doing wonders this time of the year! Have a lovely trip!

Ch SunTribe's Luke Skywalker

2009 was a year full och success and new friendships! First of all I must congratulate Mia and "Luke" Ch SunTribe's Luke Skywalker who once again did a marvellous job in the show rings this year! In april Luke finished his title and at the end of the year managed to get 3rd runner up at the Top Male Basenji-list for 2009. Only 6 shows entered + the specialty Show! That is great concidering! THANK YOU MIA & LUKE

Ch SunTribe's Chanton Champagne

Champion no 2 for this year came in august. Ch SunTribe's Chanton Champagne! Aka "Emil" lives on the island Gotland and is seldome shown so when I got he opportunity to bring Emil home and show him during the summer I didn't hesitate. 7 Shows in 6 weeks was the plann and keeping our fingers crossed that he would earn his title this summer! Well he only needed the 4 first shows to get his Swedish Champion-title!!!!! What a boy he is and so much fun we had! I must say thank you to Tuija from the Wild Pearl kennels for tagging along sith me on Emils little adventures. During the summer she was our greatest supporter and no 1 fan!

SLCCh SunTribe's Mara Jade Skywalker

Tuija and I did other stuff also this year. I got the opportunity to acompany Tuija and "Vanilla" SLCCh SunTribe's Mara Jade Skywalker too some LC fields. That was a new experience I must say. In a positive way! I cant be other than proud to see my breed "Vanilla" do such amazing heat after heat out on the field! WOW! "Vanilla" is always on top yera after year but this year she ended up as 5th runner up out of 22 compeeting basenjis! Great result considering she only participated in 4 runs.

The above 3 dogs, Ch SunTribe's Luke Skywalker, Ch SunTribe's Chanton Champagne and SLCCh SunTribe's Mara Jade Skywalker has under 2009 given TEAM SunTribe a 6th placing (out of 21) in the Breeder of the year list. And SLCCh SunTribe's Mara Jade Skywalker has alone marked TEAM SunTribe as 4th runner up at LC basenji of the year list. Many many thanks to you guys!!!

In Hungary "Shmi" Ch SunTribe's Shmi Skywalker made her own sucess when she in december won her Show title! And this was Champion no 3 for this year for the SunTribe kennels!

Newborn litter no 7

In october I went with Princess  to see the nice brindle male "Zomba" to hopefully produce litter no 7. Well puppies there was and on december 16th four wonderful babies in 3 different colours arrived!

Fall came and we had some sleep-overs here at the kennels. First came the wonderful red/white male "Simon", SunTribe's Nile Wild Landspeeder. He stayed for a week and I got to feel him in the leach and it felt really good! So i hope he will do some enteries this summer.

Then "Nelson", SunTribe's Empire Strikes Black stayed for a weekend and made our day shine!

After that "Emil" Ch SunTribe's Chanton Champagne came back to be with us for 1½ week while the family went to the Canary Islands.

Then came the tragic winter when our foundation bitch "Ida" Ch Faraoland Nile Wild Jiddah had to leave us. You are never prepaired although you know this day always comes... Now she is finally free of her pain and can run with her husband "Anton" Ch Liljeborg's Chanton of Imagine at the rainbow bridge and the sunny green fields. We will always love you and forever miss you! Always in our hearts!

We se positve on the year 2010! First and for most we are so happy to finally have puppies again. It has been almost 3 years since we had a litter and it will be nice to show this little brats in the show rings this summer...
